Establishment
The year is 1649 and we find ourselves in King Charles I’s England, a country torn apart by years of civil war and religious persecution. There exist respectable aristocratic families who devote their lives to serving the Great Lord Freud.
These families are led by two Elders who, being the seniors and more experienced, impart knowledge to the new Lords and Ladies while bringing them on their quests and pursuits. Currently, all the families are recruiting new Lords and Ladies from all over the world, to inject vibrancy and life into their family lives.
Behind it all lies a well hidden mystery waiting to be uncovered. Now, there exist a powerful but frail figure known as Lord Freud who has control over all the families and their activities. He is well-respected by all these families. Struck down with a severe case of hypochondria, Lord Freud has confined himself to his bedchamber and now sees only his immediate family and personal servants, all of whom believe, with varying degrees, that the end is near. Hence, neither the Elders nor the Lords and Ladies learn of his current condition and only receive regular updates via a clandestine group - The Wundt Covenant.
The Wundt Covenant is a secret, highly elite group of researchers who work exclusively for Lord Freud. The Covenant is a separate establishment from the aristocratic families, being an independent and neutral party in this establishment. They form the channel through which latest findings in research are transmitted to the families. Within The Wundt Covenant, the Spokesperson is highly trusted by Lord Freud and thus receives instructions and funds from him directly before undertaking any new research with the other members of the covenant. The spokesperson also harbours a deep, dark secret that lurks in Freud’s castle that could possibly threaten the very survival of these families.
ROCKING HORSE- YELLOW
This family is renowned for emphasizing the influence of the unconscious mind on behaviour. They are highly efficient and are mostly seen analyzing the other families’ conflicts thereby allowing them to gain important insights which enables them to maintain friendly relations with their like-minded counterparts and defend themselves against their enemies. When under pressure, they can become confrontational and lose their rationality in making judgments.
HAT- ORANGE
This is a family who are highly intellectual and pride themselves on being able to solve any issue solely by using their well-developed brain functions. Their intimate knowledge on how the brain works allows them to achieve close to perfect memories and intuitive abilities, enabling them to draw on highly meticulous details from the past and present. They are a fun-loving family who are always eager for an adventure.
BOXING GLOVE- RED
This family is highly competitive in any task they undertake. They are extremely bonded, as they best know how to create intimate bonds with each other and how to maintain those bonds, but the most aggressive of the lot and are often seen imitating the other families to achieve what they want. This character trait of theirs annoys the other families who fear their unique identity is being threatened by the presence of the red family who can easily replace them.
FULL MOON- BLUE
This family seemingly suffers from an inferiority complex which sometimes produces a superiority striving. They pride themselves on virtues of hard work, patience and equality. No task is daunting for them. They are highly committed to finishing what they start. However, there are rumours that the family is beginning to face signs of a burnout.
PUZZLE- GREEN
This family believes strongly in looking at the whole of an experience instead of breaking down thoughts and behaviour into small parts. They are the friendliest amongst the families. The green family are always the first to identify problems and are quick to respond to changes around them. However, they fail to recognize minor but important details which put them at a disadvantage.
RAT- GREY
This family enjoys observing and studying the behaviours of any living organism around them. They are known to be highly manipulative, possessing great strength and are driven by a passion for aesthetics. Their ability to carry out tasks undetected instills fear in the other families. They are extremely loyal to members of their family and are willing to make sacrifices. However, they exhibit signs of being anti-social, keeping to themselves.
